In both American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2, players already have the option to modify their interior camera viewpoint by adjusting the seat position, changing head position and modifying the view angle. In earlier game updates, we've also made the in-cabin camera more lifelike by simulating steering and blinker camera rotation as well as physical camera movement. But we still felt the job wasn't done, so now it's time to go one step further in order to fully simulate the range of possible adjustments you could make in real life.

So without further ado: in the following game updates, we are going to add a small new feature: adjusting the steering wheel column position. With this feature you'll be allowed to modify both the height and the angle of the steering wheel in order to give you the chance to create your perfect driving position. With this we're one step closer to making the cabin in ATS and ETS2 just like the real thing. Last but not least, in the Seat Adjustment UI screen we will add the ability to modify the Seat Adjustment window values with the mouse wheel.

We hope you're as excited about these features as we are. In the mean time, here is a short GIF showing it off:

It looks really nice !
Maybe they could have add the automatically rotation of the steering wheel when the engine turns off. (Maybe they did tho)

What's next? Openable windows?
With the arm hanging out of the window animation of course.

I'd rock that.
BMW driver.
You know how it is.

Joking of course, but hey I guess it's a neat little feature for those seeking the realism. Beats spending a couple thousand to get the real license I guess. But I played Live For Speed to learn to drive and it sure as hell worked! :P

I wonder if they'll give the option to lift the steering wheel out the way as is done in real life or if we'll have to do it with the little adjustment panel for photos :P

I actually want this feature. For when you lean out of the cab to look backwards, you should have to open the window first :) I like the windows feature in OMSI, where with the window open you can hear the outside world. Wanted this in ETS for ages. :P

I always found it funny just putting your nut straight through the window ghost style though. :D

Haha I guess, it's just me being nitpicky ;) When you open the window you should have some options. A. Thank driver, B. Hurl insult. Dialogue box B gives you a variety of insults to hurl at other drivers :p

For some reason, my steering wheel will not adjust. I don't really have a problem with it as I can see what I need to but I am curious as to why it doesn't work.
