I saw that too. But Pavel Sebor said that they are not able to announce a release date yet.
He said that it's too early.
So.. I don't know what to think, even if I prefer listen what he said.
Believe what you want ! :)

I don't really believe anything the publishers say, but thought it was interesting to see that they've chosen that date now :p

Amazon are still advertising as 15th October, which is around the same time as ETS2 was released so there's a vague possibility there I guess lol

It's not sure that the release date will be this year. SCS Software hope that, but the game is not finish so...
Sorry, I will try to do my best to not be pejorative ! :p

Yeah, if they keep working on ETS2 like they do, ATS won't be released til next year. ^.^

I hope their "team" will grow up. Because if they are more & more, the work will be done faster than before. :)
But then more people means higher loss of development income, also there's more employees to keep track of, meaning more managers, etc, etc. Would be just as efficient IMO. :p

In the interview Pavel said he let the publishers put up a speculation date for Gamescon, but its highly improbable they will release it on this date. They will release it when they feel it's finished.

According to Pavel Sebor, the german publisher Astragon already has a set date, but it's speculation on their part. The official SCS position is "we don't have an exact date yet". As Pavel said in his interview, they will release it when they feel it's finished, they hope it can still be this year, but they will release it when it will be finished.

I have to say, it left me with the impression that ATS might not be ready by the end of the year.

It's probably always wisest to release a game before Christmas. So, I think that November would be a great goal and the publishers would definitly like it, but on the other hand I won't be surprised if they'd delay it to Q1 / Q2 of 2016. (Just like with ETS 2)

Maybe ATS will be ready in the end of the year, but the released date will be in the beginning of 2016...
We don't know, that's the boring stuff ! ^^

And from what Pavel said in the Gamescon interview, they have only 1 bus fully done right now. He also said they might make every bus a seperate DLC, which I do not like at all and think it's a stupid idea. o_O

Euro Coach Simulator?
Updates on Euro Coach Simulator are very few and far between, we'd be lucky to see that released in a years time - prehaps there will be more updates on that in a year or so though, it would seem the main focus for SCS on on American Truck Simulator at the moment :angry12:
