Here's some stuff I've taken around the traps.
The only Australian operator of the Boeing 777 family is this 777-300ER
(VH-VPD) operated by Virgin Australia rolling down 34 at Melbourne, departing for LAX. This 777 is one of five that are of the old V Australia airline.
Taking off in the opposite direction is my favourite aircraft, this Airbus A340-343 of HiFly Malta
(9H-SUN) was wetleased to Royal Brunei whilst their 787 aircraft were being re-fitted with better crewing sleepers.
On the other side of the world, this KLM 737-700
(PH-BGU) on finals into London Heathrow.
Taken only a few weeks prior to the Fokker retirement from the KLM fleet is
PH-KZL of KLM departing the Polderbaan at Schipol.
Virgin Australia is currently in the process of swapping some of their aircraft between their low-cost division, Tiger Australia and their regional operation, Virgin Australia Regional Airlines (VARA). So every so often in Australia, we have a very bleak white aircraft making the rounds. Like this Boeing 737-8FE (
VH-VOR) which was in the process of being accepted into the Tiger Australia fleet when this was taken. This aircraft is now in Tiger colours.
One aircraft that was high on my list to photograph is the MD11. Whilst I wish they were still in passenger service, the freighter version is just as magical. This Fed-Ex MD11F had just landed on Sydney's 34L after a short hop from Hawaii.
Same aircraft, two different sides of the world. The top photo at London Heathrow, and the bottom at Melbourne Tullamarine.
My favourite airline: Royal Brunei. This Royal Brunei 787 taxiing to the gate at Bandar Seri Begawan airport, Brunei after a short hop from Hong Kong.

Mitch
