Hi there,
I am currently unable to use OMSI, as for some reason, whenever I load up a map, the spawn location window is hidden, and I can't access it (most of the time). Also, my profiles have gone missing, meaning my controls and settings and what not are gone. Thirdly, an error window pops up upon start-up (see image). I don't know what has caused this-I have made very few changes to the game lately, and they have all been map editing. All help would be appreciated (I'm currently backing up everything-I will then verify integrity of game cache, and re-install if necessary.)
Many thanks,
Jacob

I personally have never seen that error but yes, I would back up the game files and verify the game cache or re install the game.

Google translate returns as this:
Invalid argument for encoding the date

I believe I got this error, but it went away by itself. Take a screenshot of your OMSI at the launch menu.

I can't access OMSI at the moment, but the game seemed to work fine after verifying the cache. All of my settings were gone, but that's to be expected. However, it all goes to pot after I close it. Start it up again, and it's broken again. I don't know what's causing this, but it seems to be something upon closing, as that seems to be when stuff breaks.

Hi are any other similar things happening on other software where some settings are lost, only I had something similar happen on train & flight sims a couple of years ago, and in the end traced it to the battery on the mother board. Replaced that & everything was OK. If however this is isolated to OMSI I do not think this is cure. Are you running Win 10 only I have just had the "creators major update" & have had to adjust & re-enter some details & settings in some software.

I don't remember having any recent Windows 10 updates, and no, this seems to be pretty isolated.

It does seem a bit odd the only other suggestion I have is as you appear to have a back up, using windows explorer I would manually delete your OMSI2 folder completely, shut down your PC completely then reboot it & either re-install through Steam or from back up. It may clear the glitch, good luck.
