Fix OMSI 2 Lag (1 Viewer)

Dear gamers!

Before I start I would like to give credit to MDTechVideos. To make sure this is not a fake or computer-breaking method, please go to YouTube and read the comments (on the link). This worked for me so I hope it worked for you.

Do you have a computer that doesn't have such a great graphics card that you would want to have with OMSI 2? I have such a rubbishy graphics card (Intel UHD Graphics 620). By following this tutorial fix you should not have so much lag that you rage quit. Furthermore, what is also great about this fix is that it works not only on tower computers, but on laptop computers as well! The only thing you need to make sure you have is administrative access on your account on your computer.

1) Open the Registry Editor:

Press Win+R on your keyboard for the Run box to open up in the bottom left corner of your screen. Type in 'regedit' and then press return on your keyboard.

2) Disable GameDVR_Enabled in the Registry Editor:

You have made it to the Registry Editor. Great. On the left hand side of your screen there are five folders. You need to click on 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER' and then on 'System' and then click once on the folder name 'GameConfigStore'. Afterwards look off the left of your screen and onto the middle. Look for 'GameDVR_Enabled'. Click on it and change the '1' to a '0' and then press return on your keyboard.

3) Restart your computer

When you have finished the other two steps above, go to the start menu, click the Power button and press restart. When your computer has switched back on, your games will be refreshed and the frames per second [FPS] will be soaring high!

Conclusion

This fix works with any other game too so that is also a pro. The con is that you need to be very careful working around the Registry Editor as well as any other setting on your computer. Any wrong thing done wrong in this tutorial fix is not of my responsibility, so please do not come spamming comments and/or messages in this forum post. Only use the poll if it worked for you or not.

Peace out!

I think this will only work on Windows 10. It disables Windows in-built game screen recording. As has already been said, be VERY careful in regedit because you can really mess your PC up

Well, you can disable the game recording in Windows settings. Just go to Settings -> Gaming and make sure the uppermost button is set to "Off". There is no need to edit in the registry.
That's true but I found it worked better when you do the regedit method. I did go into the settings and turned it off but it didn't make a difference. At least if it worked for you in the settings method that is fine.
