V1.1 is on it's way... We hadn't quite anticipated the level of mess we was left with, but there's no point rushing what we're working hard on when it's so close to being almost perfect. At present, there isn't a whole lot to be done, other than fine tuning and eradicating some bugs and maybe adding some more features if anyone has any suggestions. A huge portion of these past few weeks has been the
removal of everything to do with "MasterSwitch Studios" in the Streetlite, from scripts to sounds and absolutely everything else in between.
That in itself been a testing task given how extensive the changes are but it just "works" now, the startup behavior has been the biggest thing we've changed. I have no idea what it was based on before hand, but it was wrong. It starts up from cold as per we tested in the real world, minus the blaring horn when you f it up, and the starter motor is actually scripted rather than just a single sound that's super misleading - something we wanted to do from day 1 but nothing happened with it at all. But those 2 things are just a small little taster for what's coming...
The only thing that won't be in v1.1 will be the Hanover Displays; we're going back to Krueger for obvious reasons - The current displays are inadequate for what the community desires such as customisability, formatting and bitmap support. Everything else in there has been completely remade from the ground up with no detail spared. We're working on our own displays too but it takes time to finesse.
Oh, and
@FirstEnviro has been working on something cool to put into both this, the MMC and future projects. Once he's completed that and put it into the Streetlite, it's practically done other than importing other variants and that's a nice quick job.
In the meantime, you can consult the change log attached and watch
this video of what's to come in v1.1... Hopefully it gives you an insight as to what we've been working on, it sounds hot and it's limp now too!
