Thanks! I'll try and get some pics of the railway in its current form (trackwork complete but little scenery atm) as soon as possible. (Sorry for the late response)

My latest acquisition is Drumwell 99006, a NWFB Dennis Trident/Alexander ALX500 (1008 - HV 6531). A real bargain at £20 (inc postage) and in good condition - the box is a bit worn but I'm not that fussed about that. Being an older HK-only release, several have found their way into the UK, including other Tridents and Volvo B10TLs, however these tend to go for around £40-£50, hence why I'm so pleased with this.

Lovely! :D
Imagine an ALX500 in British bus operator's livery... haha! ????
Actually though, it might look quite good in like a Lothian or First Aberdeen/Glasgow livery, seeing as these operators do use tri-axle buses... ????

It's been a while since I visited this thread, and it seems kinda dead so to get it back up again I'd thought I share with you my current collection of buses.

(It has grown a fair bit since I lasted posted here over a year ago!)

Because my collection is in the 30+ range I will not show each individual one but instead show pics of buses that I have more than one of and split into two different posts.

Enjoy!

A fairly nondescript ALX400 for my N scale (1:148) model railway that just needs neatening up and finishing off. I know the small bay is missing, but this is a repaint of the generic double decker by Graham Avis Details that since 2013 I've had in a (very shoddy) Nottingham livery. The railway is set 'somewhere in the midlands' so it makes more sense to have the ubiquitous Stagecoach Trident than a Nottingham City bus. Will give it logos and maybe ads if I feel like it.

Haven't actually bought anything in a while (no model shows/bus rallies to get them from!) and all the progress on new stuff I've been painting/making has been quite slow, but two existing members of my model fleet have had repaints.
P1500228.JPG
This is a BYD K9 electric that I badly converted from a Leyland Lynx a few years ago, which until recently was in a long outdated red livery. Standard fleet colours have improved its appearance somewhat, but it's not the best. I've just realised there's supposed to be a partition behind the driver's cab which has gone missing at some point while I had it apart. My original plan in 2016 was to do three of these things but I finished this one and decided not to bother with the other two.
P1500215.JPG
This, as you might be able to guess, is a park and ride bus. The only reason I had for repainting this was that I was bored of the old P&R livery, but that now means I've got to repaint the other five P&R buses too! I've always tried to keep modelling a relatively low-cost affair, hence paper rather than waterslide decals, drawn-on wipers over delicate wire ones and saying that this 25 year old Dart has been refurbished to DDA and re-engined to Euro 6 rather than buying half a dozen really expensive CMNL E200s or similar. The little posse of five SLF Pointers I've got are the only buses to be bought as an actual 'batch' and the only ones to come from someone else's model fleet, which is why I'm all the more pleased to have them.

Started to thin down my collection... Only keeping my West Midland models. Hopefully looking to get Northcord UKBUS 6526 when it releases. However, Northcord announced a while back that they may be producing the ADL & BYD E400 City. If all goes through I would definitely like to see an NXWM model. What are your thoughts?

What are your plans with your non-NXWM models? May be interested (please DM so that this thread doesn't go off topic)

One of those that I’ve wanted for a while and only just managed to get (although if I was more actively looking I probably could have had one sooner).
Stagecoach East London Citaro G 23059 in the first version of their livery on the 25.

It is 1891 of 2380

Also on a side note, Hatton’s boxes for the regular model buses (not artics) are a rather good size for making a little bus workshop. I know it’s cheap and essentially rubbish but it’s cool nevertheless.

Liking the Citaro, I used to have a London Central one but it split in half and idk what ended up happening to it. As for the depot thing, I converted an old shoebox into a 'depot', although it's not got the box as the floor, but the carpet or whatever surface its placed on.

Anyway, something I got a while ago and don't think I've posted yet, CMNL UKBUS1001 - 'The Bargain' as I refer to it owing to the fact it's worth about £45+ and I got it for £23 (inc postage) on Ebay.

Also, have a new pic of the Stagecoach Dart MPD twinpack (CMNL UKBUS3004).

oops double posting

Anyway, today's arrival is EFE 28813, a Stagecoach East London Leyland Titan B15.

A question though for anyone who knows, why is this one single door and in stripes rather than red and dual like the one above? It’s definitely Stagecoach East London so doesn’t make much sense to me.

waves to T282. I'm not sure why it's operated in London like that, although it was later transferred to Stagecoach Devon where it also operated in that condition. Maybe try asking on one of the Facebook stagecoach enthusiast groups?

Today, I aquired this Alexander dodied Leyland Atlantean. The bus it is based off has quite an interesting history as it started life in Singapore. In 1992, it was bought by Citybus for the Network26 francise of HK Island Routes. Before it entered service with Citybus, it had a facelift into the Alexander R style front that featured on CTB's Leyland Olympians. At £10 I'd say this was a bargain!

just discovered this thread, thought i'd introduce my collection with an army of pointers. i have no idea as to why i keep on purchasing more and more of them when i personally don't like them as much as other buses, but every time i see one for sale i can't pass up the opportunity.

Not entirely sure where to start with my model collection, I have 195 of them from all over the world! Photos to come in due course (when I can be bothered to dig some out) but was wondering if I have some models some people would like to see maybe?

I've realised it's been over a year since I last posted anything model bus or rail related here in a while, and since then my collection of both has grown (and I mean it seriously has, to the point where it would simply be too big of a mess to individually share here) So I'll just post off the collection of buses in this post & my railway collection in the other (in their containers and shelves)

RM2217 Sunstar Routemaster (The Last 159 RM) Accuired from Hattons. Still have the box, which is currently in storage.
