This product is now released and can be discussed at Other - [Official DLC] OMSI London

* Updated 9th December 2017.*
In order to ensure the London WIP thread is solely focused on the Work in Progress developments of London. It's been decided that it will be best to create a new thread for any questions that you may have regarding the features to be included in the add-on.

Prior to asking your questions, please ensure that this has not already been showcased in the WIP topic. Please also ensure that you READ this thread before commenting

Please Note: This thread is not the place to ask for the add-on's release date as I will disclose that once it's time to make it publicly known.

FAQ:
What buses are included in the DLC package?
- B5LH/Gemini 3
  • Citybus 200
  • Citybus 400
  • New Routemaster

What routes are included in the DLC package? (updated)

Do the buses come with an onboard iBus system?
Yes, it's currently being re-scripted to allow it to have a few more functions. These functions will be disclosed at a later date as it's not our top priority.

Can I become a beta tester for one of the vehicles/map?
No, we are not looking for any beta testers. We appreciate many of you are excited, but we also do expect many of you to respect our decision. All testers were selected by myself and my development team. This was done on a basis of people who are in the community who we can already trust, and not done on the basis of requests.

How much will add-on London cost?
Add-On London is currently expected to be priced at £24.99/27.95 Euros for the download version dependent on where you live, and £28-£30 for the boxed version depending on which site you purchase the add-on from.

Are there any plans for future vehicles post-London release?
Yes, there are plans for a number of vehicles which will be confirmed once development has started on those. The only confirmed vehicle is the Enviro400City, as discussed above.

Will the buses use the same rollband system as the current freeware London B9TL?
Road-hog123 has spent excessive time working on a brand new rollband script to replicate the Mckenna Brother's Powerblinds unit. All buses included in the add-on will feature its own unique powerblind set and does not replicate the example seen in the Volvo B9TL by AD156

I like the G3 seats, I wish TfL would allow operators to be a little more passenger comfort focused than practicality, the provinces are years ahead of London imho, Nottingham & Reading Buses being ones I am personally familar with.

If these seats are made up by Rhys, great!

Thanks! I think TfL buses could come with seats as such, however operators tend to go for the most basic specs, to try and have the cheapest bid possible.

The G3 also comes with a Civic V2 option as seen in this screenshot a few months ago.

As stated previously, the iBus is completely seperate from the destination display and its controller. iBus is a Siemens product. Signs and their controllers may be from Mobitec, Hanover, amongst others. Roadhog has already advised the regional variants will have Mobitec style sign controllers and Rhys has explained the iBus will be removed in regional variants.

@Rhys By any chance will there be a facelifted version (Post 2010/11 bumpers) on the C400 anytime?
Not on this current C400 model. Probably in the rebuild after London. I want to rebuild the C400 as it's the only bus in the add-on with incorrect dimensions (it's a bit too skinny) and a few other things are a bit off with it. So I may add it to the list then. At the moment, we don't want to change the C400 model, at all, as it'll inconviene things.

On another note, all other buses have the correct dimensions, as demonstrated on my C200 stream, when I was showing you all how to get your bus to be the correct width/height/length. :)

Just asking, how much polishing still needs to be done to this map, as from what I can tell, there's still a lot to do.
Well the good news is, 3/4 members of the development team have finished and sent their work to me. I’m just waiting on some scripts from one member of the development team. Map wise, essentially my main goal is to ensure any remains from TSLP are gone and the quality is consistent across the whole map. I do feel like we’re a step closer, and we’re getting there, but I’ve also had to remind myself that I can’t be a perfectionist, and I can leave some things till after release. You guys should see how the map and buses work soon. Which should hopefully give you a better opinion of London, and why it’s been delayed for sooooooo long :P
@Rhys how many months of testing is there for London I think you said 2 months just wondering :)
I doubt it’ll be that long, but I’ve planned to have a sufficient amount of time for things. You guys publicly won’t be aware of when testing starts as I do want my testers to focus and not showboat.
