Hi all,

It’s been a long time since we have posted on these forums, but we thought we would come back to where it all started to announce the start of the finish (of the first part) of development! We are opening signups to be included in the upcoming beta tests.

To sign up, go to http://logisticsmod.co.uk/beta or to see more information, go to: http://www.logisticsmod.co.uk/blog/?p=238 and read some more about it.

Thanks for all your support from the start!

Looks like a really cool concept. I would sign up for a chance to be in the beta, but I doubt I will have any time to devote to it. Hope it all goes well.

@marcushann - Do we need to sign up as a vtc, or can anybody put their name forward to try it? :)

We are sorry we haven't made it clear what this is. I am working on a FAQ at the moment and hope it will be up soon. To clarify your question, this is not a VTC, but a platform that VTC's can sign up for and start and manage their company. It will have integration into the game which VTC's that sign up will be able to use (such as current location and automatic updating of jobs on the system) but aims to give VTC's the most control over their company possible. To start with, we may not have all the features mentioned here and will almost certainly not have the amount of customization that we would like but we will continue developing after first release (which is expected to be Jan 1st) to add more customizability and features that will make it a truly unique platform.

Hi, For this beta signup, you are signing up to try as both a vtc and a driver. The first part that is likely to come into beta is going to be the starting & managing a company section and we will likely give you access to a pre setup company so we can test it with real or unrealistic data and check how our server handles it. After we are happy with our server load, we are going to open up to setting up peoples own companies and allow people to test that side. We are then going to open up signups for users so they can test all the desktop software and their web interface. TL;DR - signup if you want to be either a driver or a manager as you will get to test both and you are not locked into either one and will be free to delete a company or just not participate in that part of the beta.

Hope this helps, if you have any more questions, please ask.
