Importing DEM and background images (1 Viewer)

Hi there,
After taking a long break thanks to a HDD failure, I'm now back in the OMSI scene. In case you didn't know, I've been working on @Kieron 's North Devon Network. However, with new splines, objects and what not coming up for release (albeit packaged with maps), I though I'd bravely take on the challenge of creating a more realistic interpretation of North Devon. No start has been made, but I'd like guidance on how to implement gradient data and background images to build from.
I also really struggle with blender. Don't give me that "It's really simple, learn it yourself with tutorials" baloney, because otherwise I would've by now. If you're any good at modelling buildings, and want to help out at some point, let me know :)
Many thanks,
Jacob

There's a couple tutorials in the Resources section that I'm not sure if you've read or not, relating to Aerials and DEM data:
[Tutorial] [Editor] Converting a map to use World Coordinates
[Tutorial] [Editor] Aerial Imagery
[Tutorial] [Editor] Digital Elevation Model (DEM) Data
Also, wrt Blender: "It's really complex, so you'll need some perseverance if you want to learn it yourself with tutorials". ;)
Thanks Road Hog, I thought that there were some somewhere. :)
