6919 passes under the Stambermill Viaduct, in Stourbridge, with a 9 service for Birmingham.
6919 was new to Pensnett garage in December 2018, and is one of 28 new E400MMCs for the 9 & X10. These 28 vehicles are part of an order for 75 buses in total, excluding an additional 14 for operations in Dundee (that brings the total of new buses for NX in 2018 to 89!). The new buses at Pensnett will see the majority of existing MMCs (some being the earliest examples at National Express) cascaded to Acocks Green garage, in South Birmingham - for the Outer Circle.
These new buses will mark the upgrade of the high profile 9 service to National Express' 'Platinum' status... Additionally, the X10, despite already being a Platinum route, will see the introduction of USB charging ports - a feature that the earliest Platinum vehicles lack.
