Timescales/Release Date
I have no set timescale or release date in my head. This is a big map and I want it to be completed properly in my own time. Please don't ask for me for release dates or betas, because frankly, I don't know when this will be. This map will be released in it's complete state, there will be no open betas. Any complements and criticisms are welcome, I am not 100% sure about the rules when it comes to signage/road markings, please let me know if anything you see is incorrect or out of place.

Will Aversham be freeware?
Yes, it will. Aversham was initially started to help build my mapping skills, and I personally believe I have come a long way since I started nearly 2 and a half years ago. I want everyone to enjoy Aversham once it is complete, so I will not be charging for it.

What ever happened to this?
I would ask the same thing in quite a few other WIP threads, but it says that asking "Any updates?" is prohibited, so I don't ask.
I think "What ever happened to this?" would fall under "Any updates?", but I'm not 100% sure. I just didn't want to risk getting banned from the forums!

I really think it's uptight to ban asking about updates, it's simply a show of care and casual wondering toward an exciting project. Nothing to get hot under the collar about. Life is too short for questions like "Any updates?" to be prohibited. Oh darn, it's the word police!

In all seriousness though, the rule is there because in the past we've had serious friction generated between content creators and other users, certainly with regards to continuous pestering for release dates and beta testing. As the forum grew it became impossible to keep a handle on, so we introduced the rule.

However I do take your point about asking what's going on after a while, I'll have a chat with the other staff and see if we ought to change the wording. Stick to it for now though.
