Arriva North West Pride Livery's 2018 - 4412 (CX58GAA) and 4420 (CX58GBY).
Version 1.0
Information:
This livery pack is based upon the Arriva North West & Wales ADL Enviro400s with the fleet numbers of 4412 and 4420, with the registrations of CX58GAA (4412) and CX58GBY (4420). The liveries are represented to show Arriva’s commitment and support towards the LGBT community, pride events, and Merseyside. They were launched in 2018 to commemorate #Pride2018. They were also designed to match Arriva's new rebrand, Arriva Journey Mark 2018.
The initial design was a collaboration with contributor Macauley Pugh drafting up a computer-generated concept as pictured above and with the help of Karl Wilton from Arriva North West, the idea came to fruition.
More information can be found here:
Both vehicles are based at Arriva's Bootle Depot, Liverpool.
4412 and 4420 were originally based at Manchester and was then transferred to Laird St, Birkenhead, which where they served as a 'CrossRiver' bus; they then transferred in 2013 to Bootle Bus Depot which they ran normal services.
In 2016, 4412 was chosen to be repainted into a special livery that was designed by Frances Disley, and was called the #BlazeBus and was inspired by the success story of Liverpool-born Eunice Huthart, the only contestant in the 1990s TV action game-show Gladiators to become a ‘Gladiator’ herself. Blaze depicts the artist as a painted character with the power to blend into her own artwork.
- Three other vehicles were also transformed by artists and children in a major new commission by Liverpool Biennial and Arriva North West.
Other Vehicles painted:
Wrightbus VDL DB300 - #SpaceBus - 4438
Wrightbus Volvo Gemini 1 - #BrickBus - 4204 (Now in Heritage)
ADL Enviro400 - #BlazeBus - 4412
All buses traveled around Merseyside, venturing out to other depots for short periods of time.
